There comes a time in a woman's life when she realises things need to change.
She wakes up and discovers that her life is not where she wants it to be.
She feels disconnected from herself, her essence and what brings her joy.
The emotional rollercoaster begins with exploring her identity.
Who is she, and what lights her up?
This can bring up all sorts of feelings of confusion, sadness and even anxiety as she confronts her past experiences.
Then fear sets in as the desire to grow and evolve may be accompanied by fear of the unknown, leading to vulnerability and uncertainty about the future.
She then struggles with self-criticism, questioning her worth, capability and validity of her choices.
This process of self-discovery can sometimes feel isolating, as friends and family may not fully understand or support the changes that she is undergoing.
Stress and emotional upheaval can manifest as physical pain, such as tension headaches, fatigue, or muscle soreness, as the body reacts to emotional challenges.
As she evolves, she may find that some relationships no longer serve her, leading to the painful process of letting go and redefining social circles.
She will feel like an impostor as she steps into new roles to pursue her passions, unworthy of her successes and achievements.
Juggling personal growth with existing responsibilities—such as work, family, and social obligations—can lead to overwhelm and guilt.
If any of this resonates with you, I am here to remind you that you are not alone, my friend. The wise woman within is calling out, urging you to return to yourself, to the place where you are meant to be, and you do not need to do it alone.
Most of the women I speak to each week are experiencing similar feelings, and it made me realize that we need to come together to build a community of like-minded women, where we can move through these changing times together.
A place in which we can nourish our bodies in ways that feel good, embracing the importance of self-care and supporting each other in a way that women have been doing so for thousands of years.
A place to make new friends who 'get you' and understand what you mean when you say, "I feel like I am losing it!"
A place where you can reclaim who you were born to be and find that inner fire that will guide you back home to yourself.
The intention for these monthly "Soul Connection gatherings" will be to create a container for you to come together and explore who you are and what brings you joy.
To learn more about yourself, accept and honour where you have been, where you are, and where you are going.
This will be done through mindful movement, guided meditation and inward practices such as journaling and sharing in a circle.
We will share nourishing meals, learn from local healers, whilst building a loving and kind community.
By uplifting each other, we cultivate an environment where we can all thrive, reminding ourselves that it is perfectly acceptable to seek help and express vulnerability.
In this way, we can transform our feelings of losing control into opportunities for growth, resilience, and mutual support.
You are changing, and the world around you is changing too. It’s time to shift, stretch, and find a deeper connection to your soul.
Each month will be a new theme where we move our bodies through yoga, dance, walks, sound and breathwork.
Together, we will sit in a circle and reclaim the divine feminine with journal prompts and inward reflection.
Together we will find our way home to the place within that is divine, connected and deeply rooted in love.
If you would like to share your expertise with the community, please get in touch, and I am more than happy to welcome you and hear about your amazing work.
The next Soul Connection Women's Evening is on Friday, 30th May 2025, at The Yoga Barn in Knowl Hill. We will be honouring the new moon with intention setting, energy clearing and a beautiful Yin Yoga practice and Yoga Nidra, followed by circle share and delicious home-baked goodies. Some are healthy and some are not. (-;
